John T. McLane

John T. McLane Attorney John T. McLane also completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Scranton where he received a B.S. cum laude in 1970. In 1973, he entered the School of Law of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, from where he graduated cum laude with a J.D. in 1975. While attending Duquesne University, Attorney McLane served as the Associate Editor for the Duquesne Law Review (1974-1975) and won the Ben Paul Brasley Award for his performance in the Appellate Moot Court Competition. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. McLane spent two years as a Law Clerk for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. From 1977 to 1980, he served as Administrative Assistant to the Chief Justice of Pennsylvania, the honorable Michael J. Eagen.

Attorney McLane was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in 1976; the U.S. Court of Appeals, for the Third Circuit, in 1985; the U.S. Supreme Court in 1992; and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in 2004. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Lackawanna County (Co-Chairman, 2005, and Chairman, 2004, of the Judiciary Committee; and Chairman, 1988-1990, of the Civil Rights Committee; Chairman, 1992-1994, of the Rules Committee), the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations; the Northeastern Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association; the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (Member, 1984-1994 and 2001-present, of the Amicus Curiae Committee); and the American Association For Justice.
