The Foley Law Firm is proud to announce that Mike Foley has now been installed as the new President of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (formerly the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association). He has been selected by Law and Politics and Philadelphia Magazine as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer every year since 2004.
TUNKHANNOCK - A Wyoming County jury has awarded a Meshoppen couple $3.25 million verdict - the largest award in county history in any personal injury case.
The jury awarded $2.5 million in damages to Cindy White for serious injuries she suffered as a result of a car accident in 2001 and $750,000 to Mrs. White’s husband, David White, for "loss of his wife's society and companionship."
STROUDSBURG - Two years after the Foley Law Firm achieved the largest jury award in the history of Monroe County, the judge increased the award by $4.78 million for "delay damages." This $10.78 million was awarded as compensation for serious injuries suffered by a Stroudsburg man in an automobile accident in 1988. John Potochnick suffered traumatic brain injuries that made it impossible for him to work, while his wife, Carol, was deprived of the companionship and services of her husband.
STROUDSBURG - The Foley Law Firm obtained a $5.4 million verdict on behalf of the family of a woman who died of breast cancer in 1998. Attorneys Malcolm L. MacGregor and Michael J. McDonald successfully argued that the woman's death might have been prevented if her doctors had performed a biopsy and diagnosed sooner. The award is the largest ever achieved in a medical malpractice lawsuit in Monroe County.
